Henderson, Ky. 7/31/22 – Beginning Monday, August 1st, the work on I-69 in Henderson County will be addressed at night.
Motorists should anticipate night work from 6:00 pm – 6:00 am.
The section of I-69 in Henderson County currently in the work zone is between MP 141.5 and MP 148.
Milling and paving operations will be underway through this section of I-69. Trucks will be exiting and entering the work zone. A lane closure will continue to be in place.
Drivers are strongly encouraged to reduce their speed and stay alert while traveling through this busy work zone.
Bridge inspections on the northbound lanes of the U.S. 41 Twin Bridges in Henderson County concluded a day early on Friday, July 29th. Inspectors accelerated scheduled work on the southbound lanes and began work Saturday.
“While it was good news that work on the northbound lanes wrapped up early, we apologize for not communicating the schedule change and for any inconveniences caused,” said Department of Highways District 2 Chief District Engineer Deneatra. “We have recalibrated and expect this necessary project to proceed smoothly. With favorable weather conditions, we are optimistic the work will end earlier than planned.”
To minimize traffic impacts during peak commute times, engineers will be on-site in the morning and in the afternoon.

- 5:30 pm – 8:00 pm
Crews will utilize a UBIV (Under Bridge Inspection Vehicle). The project is scheduled to be complete by Friday, Aug. 5. Motorists should anticipate lane restrictions and reduced speeds. Motorists should also budget more drive time to reach their destination.
