Wanted Felon Eludes Police After Chase

Henderson, KY 2/20/21- The Henderson Police Department responded to the area of Raj’s Food Mart in the 900 block of Madison Street early this morning for the report of shots being fired in the area. While officers were monitoring the area, they came across a group of individuals in the 800 block of Kleymeyer.

According to the report from HPD Alianard Washington, 18 of Hopkinsville, was in this group and had an active felony warrant for ‘Robbery 1st Degree’. Once officers were made aware of the warrant, they attempted to arrest Washington but he became violent and was able to assault two police officers trying to resist being arrested.

During the altercation Washington was able to break loose and flee the scene in a silver 2017 Nissan Rogue driven by another subject. Officers pursued the vehicle for several miles in Henderson until it stopped at 6th and North Adams Street.
