Vehicle VS. Pedestrian on N. Green Street

Henderson, KY 3/23/21- Emergency responders with the Henderson Fire Department and Deaconess Henderson EMS were called to assist Henderson Police on a vehicle vs pedestrian accident Tuesday night.

Just before 9pm crews were called to the 1100 block of N. Green Street near the 12th Street intersection. According to police, a maroon Ford passenger car, driven by Miniya McClure, 19 of Henderson, struck a pedestrian identified as Willie Rapier, 52 of Henderson. 

The report says McClure was driving southbound on N. Green St. when she says Rapier walked in front of her. She says he came from the area of Butler Automotive car lot.

Rapier was transported by EMS to an Evansville medical facility for what police say are serious physical injuries.

Police believe the driver was unable to see the man due to poor lighting in this area. Henderson Police continue to investigate this incident.

  1. He did not walk in front of her dumb ass he just left the hospital from being with his pregnant daughter he wasn’t impaired or anything to be walking infront of a vehicle charges will be filed. His injuries are lige threatening she was speeding. Sincerely his Wife
