Vehicle vs Pedestrian | Driver Arrested

Henderson, KY 1/26/23- Just before 11PM Tuesday night, a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle as he was walking through the Ellis Park parking lot. Emergency responders from Baskett Fire Department, Henderson City-County Rescue Squad, and Deaconess Henderson EMS were called to assist the Henderson Sheriff’s Office on scene with the victim.

According to deputies, the driver was identified as Crystal Edmonds, 45 of Henderson, was pulling out of a parking space and did not see the victim John Greene, 79 of Evansville, as he was walking by. Greene was transported to an Evansville medical facility for his injuries.

Deputies arrested Edmonds on multiple charges:

  • Failure to maintain required insurance;
  • Driving without a license/negligence in accident;
  • Operating on a suspended/ revoked driver’s license;
  • No registration receipt

Edmonds was taken into custody and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center.
