Vehicle vs Pedestrian, Baby Dies in Henderson

Henderson, KY 10/4/22- Henderson County emergency responders along with deputies from the Henderson County Sheriff’s office were called to the 5,000 block of Highway 416 West for the report of a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision.

According to reports from both subjects, the driver Nathan Simmonds (25) was operating a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado westbound on KY 416 West when he observed the pedestrian Alaina K. Majors (25) at her mailbox.

According to the press release, as Mr. Simmons approached Majors at her mailbox, she stepped out in front of Mr. Simmonds vehicle making impact with her knocking her down onto the roadway. Deputies say Majors was carrying her 13 month old daughter Ellianna Majors when she was struck.

Majors was transported to Deaconess Mid-Town for her injuries and her daughter was pronounced dead at the scene by the Henderson County Coroner’s Office.
