UPDATE: Arrest Made in the Juvenile Shooting Case
Henderson KY 11/29/21- An arrest was made today in the case involving a juvenile being shot near the intersection of Powell and S. Adams Street. Darren W. Miller, 29 of Henderson, was arrested today at the Henderson Police Department and charged for Assault (1st Degree) and two counts of Wanton Endangerment (1st Degree). The charges stem from Miller allegedly firing a gun into the vehicle striking a child and endangering the two other occupants of the vehicle.

Just after 1AM on November 29th, officers of the Henderson Police Department responded to the intersection of Powell and South Adams in reference to a shots fired call. When officers arrived in the area, they found numerous shell casings and then located a passenger car a short distance away that had had been shot with three occupants inside.
The Henderson Fire Department and Deaconess Henderson EMS was called to the scene when officers were advised a two-year-old female child, riding in the car in a car seat, had been shot. The juvenile was treated and immediately transported via ambulance to an Evansville medical facility for treatment. The child was then lifeflighted to Riley’s Children Hospital in Indianapolis with life threatening injuries.
Detective John Nevels says the investigation is still ongoing.
