Suspected Meth Located After Pair Found Unconscious in Park
Henderson, KY 5/14/21- Just after 1AM Friday morning, patrol officers came upon a suspicious vehicle in Red Banks Park in the 600 block of Merritt Drive.
Henderson Police observed two people passed out in a gray Monte Carlo. Officers later identified the two subjects as Garrett Bennett, 28 of Henderson, and Kaitlyn Trainer, 26 of Sebree.
According to the release, Garrett was observed clutching a clear glass pipe with white residue, believed to be methamphetamine, in plain view by officers as they approached the vehicle. Once Bennett and Trainer were in custody, officers were able to search the vehicle, locating a white crystal substance believed to be methamphetamine.
Both Bennett and Trainer were charged with:
- Possession of Controlled Substance (1st Degree) (1st Offense) (Methamphetamine).
Bennett was additionally charged with:
- Possession of Drug Paraphernalia.
