Suspect Arrested in “Shots Fired” Investigations in Henderson
Henderson, KY 4/28/22- On March 21st just after 5PM, the Henderson 911 Dispatch received a report from the 400 block of South Green Street of possible gun shots fired in the area.
Officers with the Henderson Police Department responded and located multiple gun shell casings and discovered one bullet had hit an apartment complex on South Ingram Street. According to the investigating officer, the bullet was lodged in the inside wall of a child’s bedroom.
A short time later, another separate call involving a car being shot was dispatched to officers while officers were on the scene of the South Green Street shooting. A vehicle with multiple gunshots was located at in the 700 block of Cherry Street. Officers obtained statements from two individuals and Detectives were able to obtain video surveillance footage of the incident.

After a month long investigation Rashaud Harvey, 23 of Henderson, was stopped on US Hwy 41 North in Henderson in reference to an active warrant. Harvey was charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree in reference to this shooting. Harvey was also charged with two counts of Trafficking in Controlled Substance 1st Offense (Carfentanil or Fentanyl Derivatives) and two counts of Trafficking Controlled Substance Within 1,000 Feet of School. The trafficking charges were two separate incidents in December of 2021, both occurring within 100 feet of South Heights School.
