Stolen Vehicle Recovered During Narcotics Investigation
Henderson, Ky 5/20/22- The Kentucky State Police, Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force (PNTF) and Henderson Sheriff’s Office recovered a stolen white 2010 Mercury Milan during a narcotics investigation in Henderson County.
According to the PNTF Office, detectives were conducting surveillance near the area of the 500 block of North Green Street when they observed the Mercury leaving a suspected drug house. A short time later, they observed it leaving the Downtown Motel.

The report says the Mercury Milan was reported stolen from Owensboro and was being driven by Deheaven Gilbert, 28 of Henderson, when he was observed pulling into the parking lot of the Dollar Store on North Green Street. A KSP Trooper approached and detained the driver (Gilbert) as PNTF detectives located a female passenger from the vehicle who was inside the store. The female passenger of the vehicle was released without charges. An officer with the Henderson Police Department also assisted investigators on the scene.
Deheaven Gilbert was arrested and charged for:
- Theft By Unlawful Taking / Automobile $1,000.00 < $10,000.00
- Operating on Suspended / Revoked Operators License.
- Failure To Wear Seat Belts
Deheaven D. GILBERT was transported and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center without incident. This is an on-going investigation by the Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force.
