‘Shots Fired’ Call Lands Two Men in Jail

Henderson, KY 12/07/21- The Henderson Police Department was called to the report of “shots fired” in the 1100 block of Atkinson Street around 10PM Saturday night.

Officers arrived in the area to investigate and located a white vehicle driven by an Isaiah Utley-Gray, 20 of Henderson, that had numerous bullet holes in the hood of the vehicle. Henderson 911 Dispatch advised officers the shooter was still across the street attempting to leave the scene.

Investigating Officers were then able to locate a large group of individuals in the 1100 block of Atkinson Street. Officers began speaking with the individuals on Atkinson Street and a Richard Dennis, 20 of Henderson, told police that Isaiah Utley-Gray attempted to run his uncle over with a vehicle. Dennis advised the vehicle swerved towards his uncle and that is when Dennis drew his weapon and shot numerous rounds at the oncoming vehicle.

Both Dennis and Isaiah Utley-Gray were arrested and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center where they were held on charges of Wanton Endangerment in the 1st Degree.
