Pedestrian Struck on S Green Street Wednesday

Henderson KY 10/6/21- Henderson emergency responders were called to the 1600 block of South Green Street Wednesday morning for the report of a vehicle vs pedestrian accident with injuries.

Just after 6AM, crews arrived on scene to find man had been struck by a vehicle. Henderson police say Dakota Hanson, 28 of Evansville, was walking North on Green Street in the roadway when Dennis Maldonado, 26 of Henderson, tells officers he was driving North on Green Street and did not see Hanson in the roadway.

Maldonado told investigating officers it was dark and raining causing him to not see Hanson. According to police, Hanson was transported to Deaconess Henderson Hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Henderson Police were assisted on scene by the Henderson Fire Department and Deaconess Henderson Ambulance Service.
