Owensboro Man Arrested in Henderson Attempting to “Toss a Baggy”

Henderson, KY 1/3/22- On Monday the Henderson Police were called to the area of North Elm Street in reference to a suspicious male walking in the area with a backpack on. Officers located a Buddy Haire, 33 of Owensboro, walking in the area of N. Green Street near Harding Avenue wearing a back pack.

According to responding officers, when Haire first spotted police, he attempted to toss a baggy on the ground. Officers were able to recover the small baggy containing a crystal like substance believed to be methampetamine.

Haire was placed under arrest and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center where he is being held on no bond for charges of:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance (1st Degree) (Methamphetamine)
  • Parole Violation Warrant

Henderson, KY 1/1/22- Officers responded to the 2500 Block of Wood Drive on Saturday in reference to the report of a Burglary. Officers arrived on scene and were told an individual entered into the residence and kicked in the bedroom door and assaulted two individuals. Henderson, KY 12/31/21- Officers located Jessica Vondrasek, 47 of Henderson, in the 1000 block of N Green Street just after 10PM on Friday night. Vondrasek was wanted on a ‘failure to appear’ warrant. During interactions with her, Officers located a clear baggie with a crystal like substance, believed to be methamphetamine, in Vondrasek’s jacket pocket.

Vondrasek was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center where she was charged with:

  • Possession of Controlled Substance (1st Degree) (1st Offense) (Methamphetamine)
  • Failure to Appear

Henderson, KY 12/31/21- A victim of auto theft contacted the Henderson Police on Friday night to report that his vehicle had been stolen from his residence in the 1800 block of N. Elm Street. The victim advised officers the theft took place sometime between 12/28-12/31. At this time no arrest has been made. Henderson KY 12/28/21- Officers were called to the 200 block of S. Lincoln Ave last Tuesday in reference to the report of a stolen phone. The victim told police that a Mason Book, 26 of Henderson, had restrained her with his hands and pried her phone out of her hands.

Officers say they were unable to locate Mason Book at the time but HendersonWatch found that he has since been arrested and is currently lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center and has been charged for:

  • Robbery (2nd Degree)
  • Criminal Trespassing (3rd Degree)

Henderson KY 12/28/21- Officers responded to Pope Street last Tuesday for the report of another burglary in the area. The homeowner told officers while they were on vacation someone had entered their home and stole 4 firearms out of a locked gun cabinet.
