One Killed, One Transported in Overnight Rollover on the Audubon Parkway

Henderson, KY 3/7/21- Emergency responders were dispatched with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office to the area of the 13-mile marker on the Audubon Parkway Monday morning for the report of a rollover accident.

According to Deputy Terry Harmon, an accident reconstructionest for the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, just after 2AM, a white Toyota Sequoia was traveling east when it lost control and overturned. The operator, later identified as Corrie Embry, 31 of Owensboro, was ejected and landed in the left lane of the highway. An unknown vehicle traveling eastbound struck Embry but then continued on leaving the scene heading towards Owensboro. Embry was pronounced dead at the scene by paramedics with Deaconess Henderson EMS and the Henderson County Coroner’s Office was called to the scene. The collision is currently under investigation. Embry had one passenger, Logan Smith, 23 of Evansville, who was transported by EMS for minor injuries.

Hebbardsville Fire Department and Zion Fire Department was called to the scene with Deaconess Henderson EMS, Henderson City/ County Rescue Squad and Henderson Emergency Management to work the accident.
