Newborn Abused Just Days After Birth, Father Charged

Henderson KY 5/10/21- On April 5th, the Henderson Police Department was notified, by a doctor, of a five day old infant that had injuries not consistent with the story given by the child’s parents to medical professionals. According to police, doctors discovered the injuries at the child’s first doctors visit just days after birth.

Detectives say Seth Justice, 21 of Henderson, already incarcerated for charges unrelated to this investigation, was served with a warrant Monday, at the Henderson County Detention Center, for Criminal Abuse, 1st Degree Victim Child Under 12. Seth Justice is the father of the victim.

During the investigation, detectives discovered that Justice had been alone with the child during the time period the numerous injuries allegedly occurred. According to the report, the child was five days old when the incident occurred in the 500 block of Martin Luther King BLVD in Henderson. The investigation is still ongoing.
