Multiple “SHOTS FIRED” Calls Reported On Eastend
Henderson, KY 9/7/21- Around 5:30PM Tuesday evening, the Henderson Police Department was called to the area around the intersection of Pringle and Kleymeyer Street for the report of “shots fired” in the area.
According to SGT. Corman of the Henderson Police Department, while responding and investigating the original call, an officer near the scene heard more shots fired from the area of Fernwood Cemetery at approximately 5:38PM. A short time later, HPD officers located and detained one male believed to be involved.
Not long after officers detained the male, another 911 call of “shots fired” came out in the 900 blocks of Clay Street. Officers responded and collected evidence from that scene as well.
Due to the nature of the calls, SGT. Croman says the soccer game at South Middle School was called off with many students and parents put on lockdown at the school. A short time later all were released under a supervised release from school staff.

HPD would like to thank the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office and the Kentucky State Police for their assistance in investigating and locating crime scenes. HPD is asking anyone with information on either of these events to please call HPD at 270-831-1295 or Henderson CrimeStoppers 270-831-1111. More information will be released at a later time once more information is available.
