Motorist Assist Leads to Meth Bust
Henderson, KY 8/12/21- Just after 1AM Wednesday morning a Henderson County Sheriff’s Deputy was patrolling in the 700 block of N. Green St. when he came upon a vehicle with no lights stalled in the middle of both northbound lanes.
After speaking with the driver of the vehicle, Eric Blake, 36 of Morganfield, the deputy helped push the vehicle out of the road. While questioning whether Blake needed any more assistance, the deputy noticed a syringe near the middle console next to Blake. According to the report, this led to a probable cause search of the vehicle.

The deputy says during the search he located 23.0 grams of methamphetamine, an electronic scale, plastic baggies, and several more syringes.
Eric Blake was taken into custody and charged for:
- Trafficking in a Controlled Substance (1st degree) (1st offense) (> or = 2 grams – Methamphetamine)
- Warrant: Failure to Appear
Blake is currently lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center on a No Bond order.
