Man extricated after Audubon Parkway rollover
Henderson, KY 6/16/21- Just before noon Wednesday, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department was called to the 2-mile marker on the Audubon Parkway in reference to a box truck that went into the median and crossed oncoming traffic into a ditch reportedly rolling several times.
Members of the Zion Fire Department and the Henderson City County Rescue Squad were originally called to the injury accident, but Zion Fire Chief Chad Patterson quickly requested the assistance of the Henderson Fire Department as extrication and more manpower was going to be needed to remove the driver from the box truck.

According to the deputies, the box truck was operated by Benjamin Klein, 29 of Owensboro. When deputies first arrived on scene, they advised other responders that Klein was unable to exit the box truck due to it still be rolled over on its side.
Klein was quickly removed from the truck once extrication equipment and manpower were able to arrive on the scene. Members of the Henderson Fire Department, Zion Fire Department, Deaconess Henderson EMS, Henderson City-County Rescue Squad, the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, and Henderson Emergency Management were on scene working to clean up the accident.
Once extrication was complete, Klein was transported to the hospital for his non-life-threatening injuries.
