HPD Reports: Fleeing on Foot/ Burglary

Henderson KY 3/16/21- On Tuesday around 9:30AM, Officers with the Henderson Police Department located Melody Aldinger, 37, and James Stone, 39 both of Henderson, at the Holiday Motel. Both Aldinger and Stone had outstanding warrants. Arresting officers say they were found to be in possession of methamphetamine and a pipe used to
ingest it. According to the report, both were additionally charged with possession of meth and drug paraphernalia.

Henderson, KY 3/16/21- A Henderson Police Officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop Tuesday night in the 300 block of Clay Street, but quickly learned the driver wasn’t having it.

According to police, the officer initiated the traffic stop on a black Ford F150 for a registration that had expired in 2019 and canceled registration plate for failure to maintain required insurance. As soon as the black Ford came to a stop, the driver exited the vehicle and fled on foot westbound. HPD says the driver was described as a tall, slender mixed male with dark curly hair who was wearing a white under shirt, tan jacket, dark jeans, and black tennis shoes.

According to the report, officers also noticed a strong odor of marijuana coming from inside the vehicle. Inside the vehicle, in plain view, officers could see several $100 and $20 bills in the open center console. Detectives were contacted and a search warrant obtained for the vehicle. Officers located marijuana, drug paraphernalia, a large amount of cash, and other items inside the vehicle.

Henderson, KY 3/17/21- HPD officers responded to the 400 block of S. Alves Street Wednesday night in reference to the report of a burglary. When officers arrived at the residence they spoke with the homeowner who says he came home around 10:30pm to his home broken into and his TV missing. The victim says he had been gone since 10:30am that morning and described the TV as a black 60 inch Polaroid Flat Screen.
