High School Student Arrested for Assault in Henderson

Henderson, Ky 2/17/22- Officers with the Henderson Police Department were called to Henderson County High School on Wednesday for the report of an assault.

According to police, Brandon Dean, 18 of Henderson, was a student at the high school attending “shop” class when he decided to heat up a piece of metal. Once Dean had the metal hot enough, he then asked a 15-year-old juvenile to hold it without the juvenile knowing the metal had been heated up.

Police report the juvenile suffered burns on his hand and the juvenile was treated by the school nurse and released.

Dean was arrested and charged for:

  • Assault (2nd Degree)

Dean was transported and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center. The investigation is on-going.
