Henderson Police Respond to Assault

Henderson, KY 11/27/21- Henderson Officers received a call to the area of the 700 block of S. Green Street Saturday night in reference to a fight possibly involving firearms. Investigating officers say the initial report was that several people were on top of a female who was lying on the ground and that possible gun shots were fired.

After arriving on scene, four subjects were located in their vehicle in the 400 block of Cherry Street, believed to be the suspects. The four possible suspects were taken to the Henderson Police Department to be interviewed by a detective.

According to the report, the reporting parties told police that two of the females (being detained) had came to their residence in the 700 block S. Green St. and knocked on the door. A resident reportedly answered the door and told the two (females) to go away, at which time they allegedly forced their way into the home and grabbed two other residents, dragging them outside and began to assault them.

None of the victims reported neither seeing a gun, nor knowing there was a gun, nor hearing gunshots. During the course of the investigation, subjects did report gunshots in the area earlier in the day.

This incident is still under investigation and detectives are asking if anyone has any information please contact the Henderson Police Department at (270)831-1295 or the Henderson County CrimeStoppers at (270)831-1111.
