Henderson Officers Injured Attempting to Make an Arrest
Henderson, KY 7/29/21- While trying to arrest a man on strangulation charges after being involved in a domestic dispute with a juvenile Thursday night, Henderson Police say the man violently resisted two officers causing injury to both officers.
According to the report, just after 11PM Henderson Police Officers were called to the 1700 block of South Green Street in reference to the report of a domestic disturbance. While officers were on scene investigating, they learned the domestic took place between Andrew Webb, 34 of Henderson, and a juvenile inside the apartment.

After interviewing witnesses on scene, officers determined Webb was going to be charged and placed under arrest for Strangulation 1st Degree as well as other domestic related charges. Officers advised Webb to turn around and place his hands behind his back and Webb would not comply with the officers. Webb was given multiple chances to comply and put his hands behind his back but refused.
When officers went to place Webb in handcuffs, he began to pull away and resist the officers. Webb then became physically aggressive towards both officers. Webb ended up physically assaulting both officers during the altercation. Officers were finally able to gain control of Webb and get him placed into handcuffs.
Deaconess Henderson EMS was dispatched to the scene, where both officers were treated on scene for minor injuries. Webb was arrested and charged for:
- Strangulation 1st Degree
- Assault 3rd Degree On A Police Officer
- Resisting Arrest
- Harassment Physical Contact No Injury
Webb was transported and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center.
