Henderson Emergency Responders Called to the Third Fatal Crash in a Week.
Henderson, Ky 7/27/21- Henderson County emergency responders were called to their 3rd fatal crash in the past week. Crews were dispatched to a motorcycle accident in the area of Ky 359 near Ranch Rd at 7:30PM on Tuesday night.
According to deputies, the driver of the motorcycle, later identified as Joshua Dean, 46 of Owensboro, was found in a roadside creek and removed by Henderson and Union County volunteer firefighters and rescue squad personnel. Union County EMS provided medical aid and transport to an Air Evac helicopter which landed in a nearby field. Air Evac then transported the individual to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville, IN where he was pronounced dead at 9:46PM.

Smith Mills Fire Department, with help from the Rescue Squad and Union County firefighters, utilized ropes, ladders and a stokes basket to perform a low angle rescue to remove the patient from the creek.
