Fleeing Suspect Drives Through Fence in Henderson
Henderson, KY 4/28/21-Just before 1AM this morning, Officers with the Henderson Police Department attempted a traffic stop on a white Chevrolet pickup truck near the intersection of Washington and South Ingram Street. When officers initiated the traffic stop, the vehicle proceeded to flee from Officers.

According to the report, officers then discontinued the traffic stop and say the vehicle continued from McDonalds on Washington Street and drove at a high rate of speed through both Independence Bank parking lot and German American Bank parking lots, jumping curbs and ultimately crashing through the fence on the property of German American Bank. The vehicle then crashed into a gate on the property of Popeyes Chicken.
The vehicle eventually became immobilized stopping in front of Park Machine and the driver, identified as Ricky Roberson (36), then fled on foot but was located in the 400 Block of Washington Street.
Roberson was arrested, medically cleared and taken to the Henderson County Detention Center where he was booked with a bond currently at $5952.51 and charged with the following:
- No tail lamps,
- Operating on suspended or revoked operators license,
- Fleeing or evading police, 1st degree (motor vehicle),
- Reckless driving,
- Leaving scene of accident-failure to render aid or assistance,
- Fleeing or evading police, 2nd degree (on foot),
- Resisting arrest.
