Firefighters Battling Large Fire at the County Landfill

Henderson, KY 10/6/21- (7PM)The Henderson Fire Department was called out to the report of a possible building on fire at the Henderson County Landfill in the 700 block of Highway 414.

When units first arrived on scene flames were reported to be visible from the roadway. As firefighters approached the building they quickly discovered the fire was coming from a semi truck backed up inside the building.

HFD is currently on scene with several fire engines battling the blaze with Deaconess Henderson EMS on standby.

(7:55PM) Tri-State Towing has responded to the scene to assist Henderson Fire Department by removing the semi tractor trailer from inside the building to allow firefighters to continue extinguishing the hot spots which still remain in the trailer.
