Spottsville, Ky 01/21/21– Just after 2pm this evening emergency responders were called to the 5800 block of Hatchett Mill Road in Spottsville for a two-vehicle head-on collision.
As responders arrived on scene they quickly discovered one female was trapped inside the vehicle. Spottsville, Zion, and Baskett Fire Department along with Henderson City-County Rescue Squad and Deaconess EMS began extricating the victim from the vehicle. While crews worked the scene to free the patient from the vehicle, a medical helicopter was called to the scene to airlift the patient to a medical facility.
According to deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, it appears the vehicle traveling south, a 2002 Mazda Miata operated by James Peercy, 50 of Henderson, traveled into the path of a 2019 BMW operated by Gabriella Hoilder, 26 of Spottsville. Peercy was taken to the hospital by ambulance for treatment. Hoilder was taken to the hospital by private vehicle for treatment. Peercy’s passenger Sharon Sutton, 57 also of Henderson, was airlifted to another medical facility for treatment with her condition unknown at this time. Deputies say the collision is still under investigation.
