Fatal Collision at Wolf Hills Road Monday Morning

Henderson, KY 10/25/21- Henderson City and County emergency responders were called to the scene of a fatal collision just after 7AM Monday morning.

According to the Henderson County Sheriffs Office the collision involved two vehicles which collided near Wolf Hills Road on US HWY 41 North in Henderson just before the twin bridges. Deputy Terry Harmon says a gold Toyota Camry driven by Ava Bartley, 67 of Henderson, was crossing US41N when her vehicle was struck on the right side by a black Volkswagon Jetta, driven by Shane Wilhite, 19 of Henderson. Wilhite was traveling northbound when the collision occurred.

Wilhite was transported to the hospital and later released. Ava Bartley was pronounced dead at the scene from injuries sustained from the collision.

Baskett Fire Department, Henderson Fire Department, Henderson City-County Rescue Squad, Henderson Emergency Management, Henderson County Coroners Office, and Deaconess Henderson EMS were called to assist on scene.
