DUI Arrest Ends with Meth Charges
Henderson, KY 8/18/21- Just before 6PM Wednesday, police officers with the Henderson Police Department were called to the intersection of Manor Drive and US 60 for the report of a possible crash.
Upon dispatch, responding officers were told that the driver, later identified as James Morgan, 40 of Waverly, left the scene of the accident and was on foot somewhere in the area. Once officers arrived in the area, they were able to locate the driver near the intersection of Marywood Drive and US Highway 60.

According to investigating officers, Morgan was manifestly under the influence of alcohol. An arrest search lead officers to also discover a clear plastic baggie containing what appeared to be Methamphetamine.
Morgan was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center where he is being held on the following list of charges:
- Operating Motor Vehicle Under the Influence of Alcohol .08 (189A.010(1A) (1st Offense)
- Possession of a Controlled Substance Methamphetamine (1st Offense)
- Operating Vehicle with Expired Operators License
- Reckless Driving
