Children Removed After Deputies Find Heroin Needles and Unsanitary Living Conditions

Henderson, Ky 3/26/21- Just after 9PM Friday night the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office went to the residence of Paul Schwartz in the area of Kennedy Circle in an attempt to serve a warrant.

Deputies say upon making entry to the home they discovered 2 children near over 100 used needles, some containing blood and heroin. According to the news release, the floor had large animal feces in several locations. Social Services was notified and an investigation has began. Deputies removed the children from the home and placed them with a family member pending further investigation.

The Pennyrile Narcotics Task Force (PNTF) was notified and assisted in identifying the drugs found in the Schwartz home. PNTF took over the drug portion of this investigation. Deputies say heroin, marijuana, and several variants of pills were located on scene.

Schwartz was arrested and transported to the Henderson County Detention Center and charges for felony probation violation as well a other charges pending.
