Cab Ripped From Truck In Henderson Collision
Henderson, KY 2/14/2023- Just after 1PM Tuesday afternoon, emergency responders were called to Highway 425 in Henderson for the report of an accident with injuries involving a dump truck and a semi-tractor trailer “with the cabs ripped off”.
Deputies with the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office say the accident was on KY 425 just east of KY 1299. According to the report, witnesses told police that a 2001 Sterling dump truck, operated by John Fancher Jr (62), was traveling east when a front tire blew causing him to lose control of the vehicle. The dump truck crossed into the westbound lane making impact with a 2015 Kenworth semi, operated by Cody Wayne Webb, 23 of Henderson.

Emergency responders say the cab of the Kenworth was ripped off the frame of the truck coming to rest in the roadway and the dump truck stopped in the emergency lane facing east. Fancher had to be extricated from the dump truck by firefighters and rescue personnel and was then taken to St. Vincent Hospital in Evansville for his injuries. Webb was transported to Deaconess Hospital Henderson Campus for a leg injury.
Deputies were assisted on scene by Deaconess Henderson EMS, Niagara Fire Department, Cairo Fire Department, Henderson City-County Rescue Squad, Henderson County EMA and Ky. State Police Commercial Vehicle Enforcement.
