UPDATE: Heavy Police Presence

Henderson, Ky 01/31/21– Just before 3pm on Friday we reported a heavy police presence on Old Corydon Road near Graves Drive (story below). Henderson Police finally released a statement late Sunday night stating officers were investigating a complaint regarding a male subject who had barricaded himself inside a residence in the 600 block of Graves Drive.

According to the report, Larry McMeans, 41 of Henderson, was apprehended at the scene without incident. McMeans was served with a Henderson County Warrant.

It is still unknown why McMeans barricaded himself inside the home.

HENDERSON, KY 01/29/21– (14:45) Henderson Police Department is currently on scene in the 2000 block of Old Corydon Road near Graves Drive. It is unconfirmed at this time what the situation is although it appears to be a stand-off situation.

Several HPD units are parked in the roadway and not allowing any through traffic while Deaconess EMS, Animal Control and a wrecker service appear to be on standby. Henderson 911 Dispatch said they can not provide any information at this time regarding the situation.

UPDATE: (17:44) Sources tell us a man has barricaded himself inside the home with intentions of harming himself. It is unclear if anyone was inside the home with the male subject. All units have left the scene. Once police release a statement, we will update this story.
