Armed Robbery Suspects Found to be Involved in Recent Shots Fired Calls
Henderson, KY 4/28/22- Detectives with the Henderson Police Department report that officers were called to the 700 block of Lakeview Drive around 4AM Thursday morning in reference to the report of an armed robbery.
According to police, the victim reported three armed male subjects wearing red hoodies robbed him and stole his vehicle. Approximately an hour later, the victim was able to ping his phone in the Horseshoe Bend area of Henderson. Officers responded to the area and found the victim’s 2009 Chevy Cobalt whcih had been wrecked and had multiple gunshot holes. Detectives were able to locate several 9mm shell casings in the area.
Through the investigation, Detectives developed a Raymond Clement, 18 of Henderson, as a suspect. Detectives were conducting surveillance on Clement’s residence when a vehicle and three male subjects left his residence. Officers attempted to stop the three male subjects when a foot pursuit began as two of them began to flee. One of the men, Lamont Ridley Jr., 18 of Henderson, followed Officer’s orders and was taken into custody. Clement and a 17-year-old juvenile ran on foot but were caught shortly after and taken into custody.


Detectives executed search warrants at a residence in the 2800 block of Sunset Lane, and on the truck Clement’s had been driving. Several red hoodies were located in the residence and a sawed-off shotgun as well as stolen property belonging to the victim were found in the truck. Detectives discovered two handguns and a ski mask hidden under a mobile home in the area that were put there by two of the subjects. Detectives also located a handgun, red hoodie, and a bag containing a red hoodie in the area where the 17-year-old male and Clement’s ran. Detectives conducted interviews with the three male suspects and charged each of them with Robbery 1st Degree. Clement was also charged with Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon and Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon.

While interviewing the three suspects, it was also discovered Clement’s was recently involved in two shootings in Henderson in the past week. On 4/23/22, members of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 1000 block of Stewart Avenue in reference to a residence being shot numerous times. Clement’s has been charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree and Possession of Handgun by Convicted Felon in reference to this case. On 4/25/22, members of the Henderson Police Department responded to the 900 block of Clay Street in reference to the report of gun shots fired and located several shell casings and an apartment that had been shot. Clement’s has been charged with Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree in reference to this case as well.
