3 Vehicle Collision Sends 6 To The Hospital in Baskett | Driver Arrested
HENDERSON, Ky 7/10/22- Just before 4PM on Sunday, emergency responders were called to the
intersection of US 60 East and Rucker Road #1 for the report of a vehicle accident with injuries
involving 3 vehicles.

According to deputies with the Henderson Sheriff’s Office, a vehicle driven by George Robertson out of Henderson was traveling east on US 60 when he rear-ended another car driven by Bartolon Gonzalez. Gonzalez’s vehicle was occupied by his wife, which preliminary investigations show to be a Mevly Lucas Maurine, and their 3 juveniles. Gonzalez was attempting to turn right onto Rucker Road #1 when the rear-end collision pushed Gonzalez’s vehicle into oncoming traffic causing a head on collision with a
vehicle headed west on US 60 driven by Christina Crowe, also out of Henderson.

The head on collision left the car driven by Gonzalez on its passenger side with Maurine trapped inside. Members of the Baskett and Spottsville Fire Department’s began extrication right away to remove the female. Gonzalez and the 3 juveniles were transported to St. Vincent hospital via EMS and Maurine was flown by helicopter to St. Vincent once firefighters and rescue personnel were able to remove her from the vehicle. Crowe was transported to Midtown via EMS.

Deputies report Robertson, who caused the accident, was placed under arrest and transported to Henderson County Detention Center with DUI related charges. The investigation is still ongoing. Deputies were assisted on scene by Kentucky State Police, Deaconess Henderson EMS, Baskett Fire Department, Spottsville Fire Department, Henderson City-County Rescue Squad, Henderson Emergency Management, and PHI Medical Helicopter.
