1st Annual Candlelight Vigil on Friday

Henderson, Ky 4/22/21- The Children’s Advocacy Center of the Green River District (CACGRD) is hosting a candlelight vigil to give the community an opportunity to show support for our local child abuse survivors and to show the need for awareness in our community! Children’s Advocacy Center’s Executive Director, Samantha Sigler says this will be the 1st Annual Child Abuse Awareness Child Abuse Prevention Month Candlelight Vigil.

According to the 2020 annual report by the Child Fatality and Near Fatality External Review Panel, Kentucky ranks HIGHEST in the nation, with 20.1 ceses of child abuse or neglect per 100,000 kids. Kentucky has ranked consistently high, in the top 10 for more than a decade.

  • Where: Central Park (near the fountain) in Henderson, KY
  • Time: 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m
