Warrant Service Turns to Foot Pursuit

Henderson, KY 12/07/21- On Monday, officers with the Henderson Police Department located a Jeremy Payne, 23 of Henderson, in the 1000 block of Clay Street. Payne reportedly had an active ‘Parole Violation’ warrant.

When officers attempted to apprehend Payne, he began fleeing from officers on foot. After a short chase Payne was quickly apprehended. An arrest search of Payne and his belongings revealed an amount of suspected methamphetamine, an unknown crystal substance and a butcher style kitchen knife.

Payne was arrested and lodged in the Henderson County Detention Center for the ‘Parole Violation’ warrant and was additionally charged for:

  • Fleeing or Evading (2nd Degree),
  • Possession of Controlled Substance (Methamphetamine),
  • Carrying a Concealed Weapon
