Two Arrested Vehicle Prowling

Henderson, KY 10/29/21- Officers with the Henderson Police Department were called to the 400 block of 2nd Street for the report of a male and female attempting to get into another individual’s car last Friday morning.

The two individuals, later identified as Jennifer Bumpus (46) and Joshua Downey (44) both of Henderson, were located in the parking lot of Bullet’s Pawn Shop just after 9AM. According to police, Bumpus had a bench warrant out of Hopkins County for failure to appear. Officers found that Bumpus and Downey were in possession of a controlled substance (meth), marijuana, and drug paraphernalia.

Bumpus and Downey were transported and lodged at Henderson County Detention Center. The investigation is still ongoing and anyone with information is asked to contact Henderson CrimeStoppers at 270-831-1111 or the Henderson Police Department at 270-831-1295.
