Henderson, KY 8/17/21- An elderly man has gone missing from the Niagara area within the past 24 hours. According to Henderson County Sheriff David Crafton, Jackie Leeg, 90 years old of Niagara went missing from his residence in the 4900 block of Highway 416, just West of Niagara. Sheriff Crafton says Leeg was last seen yesterday at his residence by employees with ‘Meals on Wheels’ who told officials Leeg was in good spirits and seemed fine when they left.
After a search of Leeg’s home and property, officials say Leeg did not sleep in his bed last night and a camouflage Kabota side-by-side is missing. Sheriff Crafton believes Leeg may have left on the Kabota and may have run into some trouble along his travels.
Members of the Henderson Emergency Management team, Henderson City – County Rescue Squad, Daviess County Search and Rescue, Niagara Fire Department, and Vanderburg County Emergency Management assisted the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office in searching the nearly 300 acres property on Highway 416 West.
