HPD: Stolen Firearm Located During Traffic Stop
Henderson, KY 5/5/21- Henderson Police made a traffic stop Wednesday night just after 10PM near Second and North Ingram Street. Officers say a 2003 Infiniti did not have any visible license plates.
According to the report, the driver at the time of the traffic stop was Tyler Simon, 19 of Henderson. The report also says Simon was in possession a handgun which had been reported stolen to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Department on 5/4/21. Police also located a warrant of arrest on Simon for a previous domestic violence charge.
Simon was arrested by the Henderson Police Department and lodged at the Henderson County Detention Center for the following charges:
- Receiving Stolen Property (Firearm) $300 Full Cash Bond
- Warrant of Arrest- Assault 4th (Domestic Violence) (Minor Injury) $100 Full Cash Bond
