Head-On Collision in Geneva Sends Two to the Hospital Tuesday Evening
Henderson, Ky 3/29/22- Just before 6PM Tuesday evening, emergency responders with the Smith Mills Fire Department were dispatched to the report of a head-on collision involving a rollover and entrapment on Highway 136 West near Geneva.
According to the Henderson County Sheriff’s Office, the drivers from both vehicles were trapped inside their vehicles and had to be extricated by firefighters from the Smith Mills Fire Department and rescuers with the Henderson City/ County Rescue Squad. Deputies say Elizabeth Price of Morganfield was operating a passenger car and, for unknown reasons, crossed the center line colliding head-on with a pickup truck driven by Walter Cummings of Uniontown.
Both parties were transported by ambulance to Deaconess Hospital to treat their injuries. The extent of their injuries is unknown at this time. Emergency officials had the roadway shutdown for more than an hour to clear the scene.
